My walks are off-leash group walks at the park all year-long.

During the summer the dog enjoy walking on the trail and running through the tall grass, and swimming to cool off on those sweltering summer days.

In the winter months my furry friends enjoy running and playing in the snow, which gives them a fun and great workout.

Requirements:

All dogs must be friendly and social with other dogs.
Dogs must be fixed to join the pack..
Walks are off-leash for optimum exercise & play so I'd prefer your dog to be ok off-leash and have good recall.
My service areas in Ottawa South include: Hunt Club, the Glebe, Walkley/Alta Vista & Old Ottawa South.
My walks are group off-leash walks. Unfortunately, I do not offer private/solo walks or puppy visits at this time.
I'd prefer dogs to be at least 8 months old, have all their updated shots, and be on monthly anti-parasite/heartworm prevention (Sentinel etc) all year long. Note: Due to our increasingly warmer winters, vets are finding more parasites infecting dogs all year round. To be safe, I'd prefer all dogs to be on anti-parasite prevention to avoid contracting or spreading parasites.

Benefits of hiring a Dogwalker:

Exercise- Important for your dog's health and overall happiness. Your pooch will go on a fun-filled hour long walk in the park. The walk is off-leash, which gives your pal a chance to run, play and get a good workout.
Lowers stress levels- especially for younger dogs and those with high-energy.
Decreases behavioral problems- plenty of exercise helps with a variety of behaviour issues.
Tires your pooch out-your dog will be too pooped out to cause any havoc or chew things while you're gone.
Relieves boredom- the common cause for troubled behaviours.
Socializing- your pooch will get a chance to meet and play with many dogs of various ages and breeds. This is important for the social canine!

What I provide on the park adventure:

Exercise and playtime when you're at work
A ride to and from the park, and on rainy days your dog will get dried off.
Fresh water offered in the car and at the park, as well as treats (our homemade cookies). Unless, of course, you tell me no treats or your dog has certain food allergies.
Reinforcement of training he/she is undergoing with you, according to your instructions and suggestions.
A social atmosphere for your pooch at the park. In addition to hanging out with the other dogs who join me, your dog will meet and play with other dogs we run into at the park.

Rates: $17 per walk (+ tax) for the daily adventures. Walks are a full hour, however your dog will likely be out of the house for several hours

(usually for a good part of the afternoon). Note: Unfortunately I cannot take dogs that are not used to being off-leash or don't have good recall.

For pooches who need to remain on leash, I recommend finding a pet sitter or solo-dog walker.
